Focusgroups on the preventive role of open youth work in radicalisation and extremism

Our Coratian partner Udurga Zamisli kicked off the focusgroups on the preventive role of professional open youth work in radicalisation and extremism that are part of the qualitative research of the Strategic Partnership “Providing Perspectives – Preventing Violence”.

We are listening to youth workers from different countries in Europe to find out how they see their own role, what they perceive as extreme or extreme behaviour and how they handle it when it occurs. But also what they would need to feel supported – be it training, tools or background material.

The results of the focusgroups will be included in our research report and one basis for designing the training and other outcomes of the partnership.
